DMR recently attended the 2012 Workshop & Exhibition sponsored by the New Jersey School Boards Association in Atlantic City, N.J. The convention is considered one of the largest networking, business and educational opportunities for school officials in the K-12 education market.
A silver sponsor of the convention attended by thousands of school officials, DMR exhibited noteworthy educational experience, including the firm's more than 20 existing projects for New Jersey school districts. Currently the Architect of Record for 13 school districts throughout the State, DMR has provided professional services for more than 400 educational projects throughout the firm's 21 year history.
As part of the convention, Henry B. Ossi, ICS, LEED AP, Director of Construction Administration, presented a 30 minute learning lab alongside John Doller, Director of Buildings and Grounds for the Hackensack Public Schools. The learning lab, titled "School Facility Energy and Maintenance Planning," discussed how school administrators can find more efficient and cost effective ways to maintain their aging facilities, despite state aid cuts.
"Each year, DMR looks forward to attending the Workshop, as it gives our firm the opportunity to share our expertise, network with other professionals, establish new business relationships and connect with our many longstanding clients," said Lloyd A. Rosenberg, AIA. "Helping school districts maintain quality facilities for their facilities will always be a priority of DMR Architects."
