DMR is pleased to announce that Charles H. Sarlo, Esq., Vice President, General Counsel and Partner, has been reappointed to the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) by Governor Christie. The NJEDA is an independent State agency that serves as the State's "bank for business" by financing businesses, administering tax incentives to retain and grow jobs, and revitalizing communities through redevelopment initiatives.
Charles is currently the longest serving Board Member on the EDA Board, having been appointed by three Governors. Charles was initially appointed to the EDA Board in 2005 by Governor Codey and was reappointed in 2010 by Governor Corzine. Governor Christie reappointed Charles in 2014 and again in July 2017.
Since 2007, Charles has been Chairman of the EDA's Real Estate Committee, a position he continues to hold. He also serves on each of the EDA's Policy, Audit, and Executive Committees.
Charles joined DMR Architects in 2001, and since then, has continually proven himself as a valued resource on the DMR team, which has resulted in honors including being named one of the firm's first partners and a finalist in the NJBiz General Counsel of the Year awards, both earlier this year. Charles brings a diverse set of skills to the firm, which stems from a unique set of academic credentials with includes degrees in law, finance and engineering.
