Natural Disaster Response Influences DMR Portfolio & Design

National, regional and local publications continue to feature DMR news and expertise. In two recent articles, DMR's experience designing public safety and higher education facilities were highlighted, with a particular focus on how recent projects in these sectors have been uniquely influenced by natural disaster response.

NJBiz featured DMR in a story focused on the firm's growing portfolio of public safety facilities. "Architects find a niche in public safety solutions" examines DMR's vast experience designing police, fire, emergency response and court buildings. As examined in the article, the design of these buildings require flexibility to allow a quick, efficient and safe response to emergency situations.

Senior Vice President & Principal Obi Agudosi also recently weighed in on a similar topic, the design of natural disaster-resistant buildings, particularly on college campuses. "Standing Strong," published in the May issue of College Planning & Management, examined this design trend on college campuses across the Country. Obi contributed his expertise regarding design considerations made for Pozycki Hall at Monmouth University.
