While some of the most obvious advances at American Dream Meadowlands, the removal of the colored exterior paneling of the original building, is visible from a ride along the New Jersey Turnpike, even more
progress is being made underground. Construction crews on site of the entertainment complex are progressing with subslab work for the amusement park and waterpark components of the project.
DMR has a full-time presence on the site, serving as on-site architect overseeing construction administration on behalf of Abugov-Kaspar, the Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based, lead architect. The project will ultimately be
a 2.9 million square foot complex, including a 639,000 square foot amusement park and waterpark.
"We are honored to be chosen by Abugov-Kaspar to be their New Jersey eyes and ears for the American Dream Meadowlands project," Lloyd Rosenberg, AIA, President and CEO, said. "This mall, amusement park
and waterpark are going to change the economic and entertainment landscape for the area and we are thrilled to be part of it."
The much-anticipated complex is expected to open in the summer of 2017.
