Environmental Sciences Building, Bergen County Technical Schools | Renovation
The Bergen County Technical School system educates students in career-specific classrooms to prepare them for future professional environments. DMR has served as Architect of Record for the districts since 2000, providing professional services for projects of various scopes to prepare high school students for professional environments.
Currently under construction, DMR provided architectural design services for the renovation of a one-story structure with a partial basement and an existing green-house structure at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, N.J.
DMR designed a renovation to the existing, 4,500 square foot building, including interior and exterior renovations to address building deficiencies. In addition to the renovation program, DMR designed an adjacent, new 2,600 square foot greenhouse. The existing greenhouse was demolished to free up space for a new code compliance greenhouse building which will be connected to the existing building through an access corridor.
