Garfield Police Headquarters | New Construction

Garfield, NJ

Construction is expected to begin by the end of 2016 on DMR's design of a new headquarters for the Garfield Police Department. The 20,000-square-foot project, to be located at 411 Midland Ave., will replace an outdated and inadequate facility built in the 1960s. The new facility will be 13,000 square feet larger, and have more dedicated space for updated, state-of-the-art technology and electrical systems.

The project addresses a growing need in Bergen County, where many police stations were built around the same time, and their accommodations are no longer suitable to accommodate expanding technologies while providing the needed services, without affecting the safety of the staff and community.
