Bergen County Technical Schools – Environmental Science Building

The Bergen County Technical Schools educate students in career-specific classrooms to prepare them for future professional environments. Serving as architect of record for the district since 2000, DMR completed several projects in support of the district’s vocational-technical education program.

At Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, NJ, DMR completed a renovation of an existing one-story classroom building and separate greenhouse structure. The project included exterior and interior renovations to the 4,500 square foot building which had many deficiencies. In addition to the renovation program, DMR designed an adjacent, 2,600 square foot greenhouse. The existing greenhouse was demolished to free up space for a new code compliant greenhouse, which is now connected to the existing building through an access corridor.
