Dunellen Celebrates Opening of Pop-Up Park

Dunellen Celebrates Opening of Pop-Up Park 150 150 DMR Architects

On June 12, the Borough of Dunellen celebrated the opening of its pop-up park, which is set to be open through September 2021.

The conversion of an underutilized area of the employee parking lot is the first of several initiatives that DMR proposed to residents in the 2020 Downtown Dunellen Visual Preference Survey. This low-cost, high-impact project will benefit the community by providing a location for outdoor activities such as music, yoga, food events, movie nights and children activities. It is part of Dunellen’s larger placemaking plans to transform its downtown into a walkable destination for residents, commuters at the Dunellen NJ Transit station, and visitors for dining and entertaining.
