Jim Tesoriero, deacon of pastoral care, and Father A. David Chalackal blessed the new Saint Peter’s University Hospital admissions department in a ceremony held on Thursday.

The new 5,500-square-foot admissions department, designed by DMR Architects of Hasbrouck Heights, will begin welcoming visitors on Monday, Jan. 18.

The admitting area, situated at the hospital’s main entrance, encompasses admissions, pre-admission testing and phlebotomy services as well as an adjacent space for a financial counselor’s office, making it more accessible for inpatients who use Saint Peter’s.
