DMR completed the design and approvals for Park Tower, a proposed luxury apartment complex in Jersey City, N.J., located near the New Jersey Turnpike and public transportation to New York. The design of the new, five-story complex consisted of approximately 50 units with retail space at grade and self-sustained parking below the building.
The design included shared spaces such as a rooftop terrace, community/meeting room and fitness center. A senior housing component was also included in the programming of the space.
The location of Park Tower drew on the natural assets of Jersey City, including the complementing surrounding architecture, efficient grid pattern, access to local art and cultural attractions, nearby outdoor space and multiple surrounding modes of public transportation.
In addition to offering views of New York City, Park Tower’s proposed site was located two blocks away from Arlington Park, which offered a relaxing suburban feel in a urban area
