Monmouth University – Nursing Simulation Lab

Monmouth University hired DMR when it was seeking a Higher Education Facilities Trust Fund (HEFT) grant to help fund a new nursing simulation lab.

In support of the application, the college required a defined program, cost estimate and concept designs for a proposed 11,500 SF renovation. The proposed program consisted of three skills labs with five beds each, two observation stations, two simulation labs, a 36-seat classroom and related office and support space.

When the college did not receive the grant funding and the project as imagined was determined to not be financially feasible, the university continued to work with DMR to find a way to move the program forward. DMR continues to develop concepts for various revisions to the program in search of a financially feasible solution.
