The County of Monmouth retained DMR to complete alterations and add a 3,400 SF addition to the Monmouth County Courthouse.
The addition added a new security vestibule to accommodate for critical security updates. The design includes easy sightlines, an intuitive and efficient queuing system, ample space for modern equipment including metal detectors and x-ray machines, and technological upgrades with access to restricted areas and video monitoring systems, all of which will keep those who work inside the building, and the hundreds who visit daily, safe. The design blends into the existing architecture and character of the building, which was originally built in 1954 and is an important part of the County’s history.
