Middletown Veteran’s Housing

DMR designed a new, 22,000 SF veteran’s housing facility on behalf of the Township of Middletown, a community with one of New Jersey’s largest veteran populations.

The Middletown Veterans Housing offers 12 units to eligible veterans, as well as thoughtfully-designed community spaces such as activity rooms, lounges with TVs, pool and game tables and a front porch, ensuring places throughout the facility for residents to gather and relax.

Elements such as patriotic artwork in the public spaces, flag poles for American, MIA and KIA flags, and a stone memorial in the front were coordinated with the support of the Veteran’s Affairs Committee. Middletown is already known as a community with a rich history, as it played a significant role in the American Revolution.

The project transformed a previously abandoned tract of land, once a tool rental company, in an area known locally as Campbell’s Junction, a growing commercial center close to main transportation routes.
