Suburban Propane, a national distributor of propane, heating oil and refined fuels, contracted DMR for interior renovations to its Whippany, NJ headquarters. Suburban Propane sought to upgrade its lobby and board room, a total of 3,500 SF, to be more reflective of their branding and culture, driven by an exciting future thanks to partnerships with NASCAR and major speedways across the country.
In the lobby, DMR replaced dated flooring with oversized tile, and added modernized seating, railings, stairs, signage and display cases for artifacts. Company branding through logos and color is now reflected throughout the space. A larger and relocated concierge desk and a new security vestibule offer improved wayfinding, and a safer and more welcoming entrance to employees and visitors.
On the second floor, DMR renovated the board room, gutting the existing space and transforming it into an inspiring work and gathering space equipped with a large conference table, entry credenza, benching system, display cases and modern finishes and furniture. Motorized shades replaced heavy fabric curtains, translucent glass doors replaced heavy windowless doors, a cove ceiling was added and an adjacent pantry was also renovated, allowing for ease of hosting large events.
