DMR designed renovations to reshape the Middletown Township Public Library into a destination that will better serve both the social and intellectual needs of the town.
DMR’s plans call for new and expanded programming space including a makerspace, dedicated history room with fireplace, an enlarged teen room, reading and community rooms, new quiet study rooms and a renovated tutoring center.
The design considered visual connection through improved sight lines and glass walls; existing natural light; and overall flexibility, with lounge seating, small tables and operable partitions added throughout the space.
